PROVIDING HANDS-ON OCCUPATIONAL SKILLS TRAINING TO THE DISADVANTAGED SPONSORED BY ALOCA FOUNDATION
Community members in rural areas, either after completing their primary education or dropouts, have little chance to continuing education to learn an occupation because of their financial situation and the distance to the schools, language barriers or the fact that they dropped out of school.
This project will definitely benefit these disadvantaged young men and women, vulnerable groups and young entrepreneurs by providing hands-on stick welding training in their own community, with a customized curriculum based on the results of the gap assessment per participant, eliminating the language barrier, giving them a chance to become highly skilled workers/professionals or to become entrepreneurs by setting up their own businesses.
This program will create jobs and a solid market value for the participants.
The target population to be trained in two years is 120.
Main goals of the training to be provides are:
Job guarantees for self- sufficiency
Provide quality training based on the international, regional and national standards
Develop highly skilled workers for the community, the industry and the government
